Justice for my Sister presents our 2023 Video Diaries program - tell your story and learn video storytelling techniques. We invite former foster youth and former incarcerated community to apply. Use poetry, sound, visual elements and get instruction and technical support training from working media professions in this one-on-one mentorship program. Application is due by March 27, 2023. Applications for the Video Diaries Workshop are due on Monday, March 27th at 11:59pm PST.
Justice for My Sister Collective is offering a weekend intensive workshop series for individuals who are interested in documenting their story through 2-to 5-minute personal documentaries or video poems.
The Video Diaries program will give you the tools you need to develop your filming and writing skills.
We encourage you to use your essays to demonstrate your writing skills. We won’t be able to accommodate all applications, so please tell us why YOU are the person to tell the story you’re proposing to workshop as part of this program.

Requirements:
Must be a young adult, age 18-30 years old.
Must be Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color
Former foster youth, or formerly incarcerated are encouraged to apply.
