At JFMS, we believe filmmakers of color need access to quality paid professional development opportunities.
Our Production Assistant (PA) Training Certification Program started in 2018 to provide our students with paid job opportunities needed to start their careers. When you support filmmakers of color:
You contribute to the diversification of the industry and provide a platform for underrepresented artists to pursue economic independence.
You support ambitious, emerging filmmakers who, due to lack of paid entry-level job opportunities, cannot find industry work, affecting them and their families, who often rely on them as breadwinners.
You provide a living to filmmakers from low-income communities of color who might experience gender-based violence, joblessness or stay in abusive relationships due to a lack of economic independence.
You help emerging filmmakers perfect their skills and land additional fellowship and job opportunities.
Help us reach our goal of $20,000 to support our Production Assistant (PA) Training Certification Program in 2022 to bring this program to more filmmakers of color.

Donate!
Your donation will provide our students with opportunities to practice the skills learned in our programs while giving them paid job opportunities to add to their resumes, so they can move up the ladder and find success as artists.
Donate $50 a month to provide meals for students on production days.

When you buy our Holiday Gift Box, you support Mexican and Guatemalan artisans while supporting our programs.
Each Gift Box include imported hand made items from Guatemala and Mexico, JFMS tee shirts and tote bag, coffee beans from Post Era, raw and organic vegan chocolates, and much more!

When you buy our Holiday Gift Box, you support Mexican and Guatemalan artisans while supporting our programs. The JFMS Holiday Gift Boxes will be distributed on December 19 near Downtown Los Angeles. Join us for an opportunity to interact with our staff and students on that day.
